Our Community

Our community is built on the principle of educating everyone about the plans for levee protection in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.  There will be millions of dollars spent to protect Upper Plaquemines Parish, leaving those south of the 100-year flood protection wall at risk.  The current proposal calls for a flood gate to be constructed accross HWY 23 at Oakville, 3 miles south of the main gate of the Naval Air Station in Belle Chasse, LA.

Our unique situation has placed us against a strict timeline.  If we do not educate ourselves NOW, we will miss out on an opportunity to hav e our voices heard.  This website will allow us to make a distinctive and substantial impact for our community.
